Field Operations Director

Job Description: Field Operations Director
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer                 
Salary: $70,000-$81,500, generous benefits package
Location: Madison or Milwaukee, WI
Start date: March 1, 2022

The Opportunity: The Field Operations Director will be responsible for ensuring the operations      infrastructure for a statewide coordinated campaign is created and in place as our field operation scales up for the Senate and Gubernatorial race this fall. The ideal applicant works well in fast-paced environments, can effectively communicate within our team and across departments, and has organizing or operations experience. This position requires some flexible hours and eagerness to assist on any task. This is a termed position through the end of November 2022.  Access to reliable transportation is required for this position.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day logistics and administration for the coordinated team by managing multiple operations projects including supplies, supporter housing, offices, equipment and others
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure that all expenses across the organization are tracked and remain within budget.
  • Prospecting offices and tracking progress of office openings and shutdowns to ensure all utilities, internet providers, lease agreements and office needs are accounted for and managed in central database
  • Coordinating with vendors to ensure proper allotment of materials are delivered and received at the applicable office level
  • Making sure all needed insurance is taken care of for expanded campaign operations
  • Ensure that all offices and staffers consistently have required PPE
  • Develop and institute operational procedures for staffers to use this cycle
  • Address operations issues and needs from field staff in a timely manner
  • Helping to implement the logistics for staff events and trainings

  • Focused on Creative Solutions - Has the ability to develop and execute creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with Campaign Finance Laws - Familiarity of federal and state campaign finance laws.

Qualifications (Preferred):
  • Previous experience working for a political, legislative, or nonprofit organization 
  • Experience executing field campaign operations
