Junior Business Analyst

Overview
We are currently seeking a Jr. Business Analyst to join our Headquarters Team in Arlington, VA to support internal corporate projects and external clients as assigned.
Business Analysts at Devis are expected to work across job functions and collaborate with team members and clients extensively. Your main tasks will include reviewing and documenting processes; analyzing system requirements; writing and performing software system tests; and analyzing and reporting on metrics. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to bridge communication gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Analyze operational business processes, determine where they can be improved, and implement sustainable and scalable manner
  • Evaluate software systems to uncover areas for improvement and develop user stories
  • Generate software test plans with associated test scripts to verify user story acceptance criteria and then perform testing against the approved test plans
  • Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to meet business objectives
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts
  • Benchmarking our approaches against the latest changes and standards in the field
  • Shifting between projects and tasks with ease
  • Focusing on solutions rather than the confines of a particular role

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience working on an integrated software team or performing business process management
  • Ability to elicit requirements, develop analyses, determine process improvements, and verify outcomes in an Agile fashion
  • Ability to be creative and show initiative
  • Ability to conduct interviews, develop surveys, identify issues, document results and communicate effectively
  • Ability to support users by investigating and resolving their problems

Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience participating in industry certification reviews (i.e. ISO, CMMI)
  • Knowledge of SDLC
  • Knowledge of Agile

Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CMMI Associate Certification is a plus
  • CSM/CSPO is a plus

Clearance Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Secret Clearance
