Business Development Analyst for APL

OPPORTUNITY
The Business Development (BD) Associate will lead and support new business development efforts, including opportunity tracking, capture planning, proposal development and follow up. The BD Associate helps to take an opportunity through the pipeline from identification to submission. They focus on overall planning and management, coordinating the internal team and partner inputs for bid efforts, and assists in broader bid preparation and production aspects.
The position plays a key production role across a busy and diverse set of internal projects and initiatives and will report to the Manager of Business Development. Success in this position includes the ability to manage and drive processes forward, respond quickly to varied demands and tight deadlines, and complete high-quality work products on time with an eye to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts daily research on Government opportunity websites, SAM.GOV, BGOV, GOVWin to identify new opportunities
Performs analysis of RFP/Q requirements
Owns Bid Tracker Management Database for Team communication regarding deadlines
Develops and communicates key metrics and creation of Gantt Charts
Assists in facilitating evolution and documentation of proposal strategy, such as competitive analysis, developing win themes and technical approach, and selecting teaming partners
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 1- 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated success in contributing to multiple projects and managing multiple priorities or equivalent college course work & experience.
New college graduates with strong business course work encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Interest working in international development or with U.S. government agencies, including USAID
Preferred course work including Finance & Strong Excel Skills, Microsoft Word & PowerPoint.
Ability to ingest large amounts of written information & synthesize key concepts
