Human Resources Analyst
There are currently two (2) professional-level opportunities available in the following divisions of the County of Marin Human Resources Department. Both are full-time HR Analyst positions that will be filled at either the HRA I or HRA II level based upon the level at which the successful candidate meets minimum qualifications.

Human Resources Analysts (HRA) perform professional human resources services to departments across the organization. The analysts work closely with department leadership and employees in the interpretation and application of personnel policies, collective bargaining agreements and regulations, advise managers and employees on human resources procedures and practices, and perform a variety of analytical studies and projects. More specifically,
- EEO Division: In this assignment, the successful candidate will conduct investigations into alleged violations of the County’s EEO policy, make factual findings on whether County policies have been violated, and provide consultative services following investigations and determine whether County policy has been violated. They will assist in the preparation of the County's EEO report by analyzing equal employment data related to hiring, promotion and retention. An additional responsibility of this position will be to conduct training on EEO policies. It will be important that the successful candidate have strong knowledge of state and federal laws.
- L&OD Division: In this assignment, the successful candidate will plan, design, and facilitate training and organizational development programs in a variety of competencies ranging from soft skills (i.e., emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and communication) to technical matters (i.e., performance management, process improvement, results-based accountability, and high commitment/high performing organizational practices. The Human Resources Department has embraced a hybrid work schedule that considers that some duties of this position may be performed remotely and telework options are available; however, the successful candidate must also be able to report to County facilities for various meetings and work assignments upon short notice, as needed and deemed appropriate.
Human Resources Analyst I: Equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with a major in personnel administration, business or public administration, industrial relations, public policy, psychology or a field related to the work. Experience in technical human resources work may be substituted for the education on a year for year basis.
Human Resources Analyst II: In addition to the minimum qualifications for the Human Resources Analyst I, one year of experience equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst I performing professional level human resources work requiring use of the knowledge and abilities listed in the class specification.
