Senior Capital Markets Analyst Position
Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst is responsible for leading the financial analysis and market research that supports a top producing commercial loan originations team. The Senior Analyst works closely with the originators on the sourcing and structuring of transactions. The Senior analyst may supervise other analysts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist loan originators to identify and pursue new business leads, maintain existing client relationships and manage the sales pipeline
- Conduct detailed economic and demographic research to determine feasibility of transactions
- Ability to train and to lead development of analysts
- Assist in the review and analysis of financing proposals and commitments
- Write, prepare, and assemble Investment Memoranda
- Analyze new proposed debt requirements and loan scenarios for our clients
- Manage transactions across several stages from initial identification through final loan closing
- Develop strong relationships with all internal and external clients
- Work with interns and analysts to coordinate tasks or delegate projects
- Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in real estate and/or finance
- 2+ years’ experience, preferably in multifamily mortgage sales or related commercial real estate work
- Experience with office, retail, and hotel property types a plus
- CPA, CFA or CCIM a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent financial modeling skills including thorough knowledge of Excel, and ARGUS a plus
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and Word, and ability to learn Salesforce and other company software as needed
- Proven written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately and productively handle multiple tasks during time sensitive situations
- Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
- Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
