Analyst, Strategic Deployment

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
 
Deployment is focused on aligning supply chain product flows with up-to-date DC capacities, forecasts and business compliance, in order to guarantee seasonal business targets are successfully achieved.
 
Deployment owns the seasonal article / range deployment across all US DCs, taking into consideration defined and agreed deployment principles and warehouse capacities / capabilities (throughput & storage).
 
The Strategic Deployment Team is responsible for defining and executing the preseason deployment strategy using LLamasoft, APO and other supporting tools. The Strategic Deployment Team is also responsible for all deployment-relevant technologies and databases for NAM (e.g., LLamasoft, Forecast Decentralization (FCD), Above DC Netting (ABDCN), etc.), along with regular audits of the strategy and system alignment oversight.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in defining and implementing the most effective deployment strategy for all articles across NAM to enable an optimal utilization of the DC network
  • Support to ensure resolutions on all audits are reached in a timely manner, as required
  • Act as subject matter expert for LLamasoft Data Guru (DG) for Deployment Team and ensure all necessary data needed for LLamasoft is integrated into DG and available for modeling
  • Develop appropriate reporting to provide insight and support effective decisions for Strategic Deployment and Tactical Deployment (as needed), as well as measure KPIs and drivers
 
Daily Operations
  • Run all Strategic audits across Deployment Team, and ensure resolutions on all audits are reached and progress documented week-to-week
  • Publish latest deployment strategy audit results during bi-weekly Deployment Audits meetings, and send monthly to key stakeholders
  • Support with data collection, analyses, recommendations, project support and documentation, as needed
  • Strive to continuously improve our processes and system infrastructure to reduce costs and improve OTA / OTIF
  • Test functionality enhancements in any and all SCM systems impacted by system development
  • Analyze and publish daily Above DC Netting (ABDCN) results to key stakeholders
  • Support with projects and management of the Deployment Team’s deliverables for ongoing projects, as needed; define timelines and milestones, write project briefs and define specifications, as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • English language proficiency both written and verbal required
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and information synthesis abilities
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Understanding of logistics cost and service drivers
  • Operations as well as commercial mind set, end-to-end thinking
  • Demonstrating initiative and acting result oriented
  • Motivated team player willing to learn and work in international teams
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, especially when interacting with different levels of business
  • Exposure and strong knowledge using Microsoft based software (including MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Solid SAP and SQL skills
  • Additional project management qualification (preferred)
 
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • College or university degree preferably with focus on Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Sales, or equivalent experience may be substituted for degree
  • 1+ years of related work experience in international and / or cross-functional teams
