Hands-on experience in health economics and outcomes research delivering research to support PTCs assets to ensure access to treatments for patients with rare diseases.
- This is a one (1) year Talent Pipeline Program and the candidate/applicant must be able to complete the entire one-year program
- The fellow must be a recent college graduate
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Support HEOR team with daily tasks to include eg with the execution of projects that demonstrate the clinical, humanistic, and economic value of the drug(s) by creating and disseminating HEOR evidence that meets local HTA/stakeholder needs and supports pricing and reimbursement such as the burden of disease and cost of illness projects, health-related quality of life impact projects or health state utilities elicitation studies
- Support the development of economic models to demonstrate the value of the product as well as accompanying tools and methods to communicate the results to audiences with different levels of expertise
- Conduct literature reviews and evidence synthesis
- Support the team to communicate the results eg by writing/developing abstracts and posters for presentation at scientific congresses
- There is the potential to expand the support into independent research and/or publication
Experience:
- Bachelor, Master, or higher education (latter preferred) in health economics, health policy, or related branch of study. Mathematics, biological sciences, data science, statistics, or economics with an interest in health economics could be considered too. Focus on public health, economic evaluation, epidemiology, market access a plus
- Curious about and interested in data and how data can solve real-world challenges
- The ability to draw and communicate meaningful insights from complex information
- Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Self-starter and can work independently; high levels of organization with great attention to detail
- Passion for HEOR, public health and health policy
- Solid understanding of economic evaluation techniques; knowledge in methods in quality of life research or utility elicitation a plus
- Experience with systematic or targeted literature reviews a plus
- Relevant work or previous experience with health care systems a plus
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of excel, including writing Macro’s and data manipulation
- Superb attention to detail.

- Excellent time management skills.
