Functional Technology Consultant, Associate

Technology & Management Functional Consultant, Associate | Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP) 
 
Ternpoint Solutions, LP is a fast-growing Microsoft Implementation Partner specializing in upgrades and implementations of Microsoft’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, Dynamics 365 Business Central. Ternpoint focuses on helping their clients in the Industrial & Consumer Products industries stay competitive in complex manufacturing, distribution and Omnichannel eCommerce. 
 
The Role 
 
Ternpoint Solutions is looking for a Dynamics 365 Business Central Associate Consultants, with the ability to start Summer 2022.  
 
As part of onboarding, our new Functional Consultants will receive on-the-job training and gain experience in the key functional areas of ERP systems. The following areas will be introduced with the opportunity for our Consultants to choose areas of expertise for upcoming & on-going projects: 
 
  1. Order to Cash (i.e. CRM & Sales Opportunities, Sales Trade Promotions, Accounts Receivable) 
  2. Procure to Pay (i.e. Vendor Management, Purchase Transactions, Accounts Payable) 
  3. Receive to Ship (i.e. Supply Chain logistics, LTL & FTL processes, Inventory Management) 
  4. Plan to Produce (i.e. Production Planning, Bill of Materials, Supply & Demand Forecasts) 
  5. Accounting & Finance (i.e. Chart of Accounts, Inventory Costing Methods, Financial Reports & Budgets, Fixed Assets) 
 
Associate, Consultant Responsibilities Include: 
 
  • Learn and become proficient in configuring & implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP) 
  • Capture, define and document client’s business requirements 
  • Design creative solutions to client’s business requirements using D365 Business Central functions and features to meet client business objectives 
  • Develop business process diagrams  
  • Map, convert, and manage client data  
  • Test technical solutions in the D365 ERP environment 
  • Interact with clients, remotely & on-site to configure ERP systems, as well as train clients on best practices/business processes within the system 
  • Build successful customer relationships 
  • Manage and execute on tasks in a start-up and project-based work environment 
  • Be given the opportunity to earn certification in D365 Business Central 
  • Troubleshoot issues to provide support to existing clients using Business Central  
  • Share and contribute to the overall growth and success of Ternpoint Solutions 

Candidate Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any of the following: Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain & Operations Management, Business Administration & Management, Agricultural Business, Accounting 
  • Developing proficiency with, Microsoft Excel, Data Models, Visio/Business process diagrams, Microsoft systems on-premise & Dynamics 365 cloud 
  • Familiarity with best practices in any of the following areas: sales promotions, rebate & commissions, quality control, supply chain management, production planning 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organizational levels 
  • Excellent project management, organization, and follow-up skills 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Located in The Bay Area, with the ability to come into the SF Office daily with flexible scheduling/management 
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to assigned client locations 
  • A minimum 3.5 GPA is preferred 
  • Ability to work in fast growing startup environment & contribute to company initiatives
