Transaction Analyst- Chicago Cannabis Practice Group

Position Title: Transaction Analyst- Cannabis Practice Group
Job Description: 
The Chicago based Midwest Office Capital Markets Group is looking for an entry-level transaction analyst to assist in the most prominent Cannabis Practice Group in working with Multi State Operators to identify growth, cultivation and dispensary locations. A willingness to work in an emerging market with large data sets is a must.    
Responsibilities include direct communication with clients, preparation of broker opinions of value and database management. Argus modeling, transaction oversight, underwriting, market research, and exposure to business development, etc.  

Essential Job Duties:
  • Analyze market information
  • Assist in the due diligence process
  • Perform Financial Underwriting in Argus and Excel
  • Review and analyze leases
  • Create content in PowerPoint for presentations
  • Team Member Mindset
Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Real Estate, Finance, or Accounting Majors preferred but not required 
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to proactively find solutions
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Excellent analysis and writing skills
  • Positive attitude and a team player
Computer Skills:
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Argus is a plus
  • Familiarity with Local, State and Federal Regulations is a plus
