As the Business Intelligence Developer I and a member of our team reporting to the Director of the Business Intelligence Center, you will have great opportunities to grow technically and professionally in multiple data disciplines. In this position, you will be able to learn and support our full stack of BI technologies.
Duties:
Our Business Intelligence Developer I team members will learn and utilize different tools, processes, and services as well as work with mentors and peers to support analytics.
Key duties include:
• Participates in troubleshooting reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Assists with fulfilling security access requests.
• Participates in making subject areas and data available through reporting tools.
• Participates in developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, including validating results.
• Participates in upgrades and configuration of reporting tools.
• Works with essential players to develop custom analytics solutions for the University.
• Responds to support tickets.
• Assists university data governance.
• Actively promotes a customer-oriented approach throughout IT Services.

Minimum Qualifications:
Require Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field, earned by date of hire.
Desired Qualifications:
We are looking for you to have basic knowledge and be able to work under instruction in:
Technical:
• Developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, including SQL programming.
• Relational database architectures at enterprise scale. Environments such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or Redshift.
• Enterprise business intelligence and data analytics technologies, such as Oracle OBIEE, MS Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB), and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
• Analytical tools available in cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Structured and unstructured data in a higher education environment.
• Working with Linux and Windows OS and a basic understanding of networking.
• Testing and validating against expected results.
Collaboration:
• As a member of a team using Agile development techniques (Scrum or Kanban).
• Communicating and troubleshooting with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintaining documentation.
