Data Analyst - Internship

Job Overview 

FBN's internships last 10-12 weeks. In the current climate, this internship will be conducted remotely, and most of your team interaction will occur via Zoom. We will supply your equipment, and you will have virtual opportunities to network and learn more about FBN and the AgTech industry.

The internship will include a formal data project supporting one of the following business groups: Customer Experience, FBN Direct, FBN Finance, Recruiting, and or Marketing. The output of this project will inform business leaders around strategies and tactics to drive business growth and fulfill our mission of being Farmers First®. 

The Analytics intern will not only influence business leaders, but also leverage the latest analytics tools and technologies (Python, dbt, Redshift, Sagemaker) to develop models and business solutions. The Analytics intern will report directly to the Senior Manager of Analytics. Responsibilities include: 

  • Build insights that monitor and identify ways to improve business tactics
  • Develop predictive models
  • Develop production-ready, peer-reviewed code that scales to large data sets
  • Incorporate testing to ensure data quality is consistent and accurate
  • Provide high level insights to an executive audience

Requirements

  • Undergraduate (rising senior) and/or graduate degree in progress 
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Interest in AgTech industry
  • Experience with traditional data toolbox: SQL (extraction), Python (transformation), and Tableau (visualization)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persistently problem solve

The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base hourly range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $45.00-50.00 USD. 

This salary range may vary based on geography and variations in cost of labor. Beyond the above or adjusted to market salary range, FBN also offers all full-time employees competitive equity compensation, health and wellness benefits, and various perks.
