Human Spaceflight Resources Management Summer Internship
Special Assessment and Analysis Team within the Resource Management Office supporting both the Exploration Systems Development and Space Operations Mission Directorates (human spaceflight organizations)
Analysis and Assessment Projects related to resources (money, workforce). Examples include:
1. Facilities Assessment--create facility database for one of the human spaceflight smaller test facilities (e.g., Plumbrook or White Sands) •Break down structure by structure •Focus on and assess deferred maintenance costs •Identify the most expensive buildings to maintain
2. Participate in Workforce Assessment effort such as developing tools, metrics, assessments to understand past and future workforce data and inform strategic workforce policy
3. Participate in effort to improve budget formulation decision making process
This is a good opportunity for someone to gain exposure to NASA's human spaceflight programs, understanding of the Government budget formulation process, and experience in project formulation and management.
