Product Manager - Supply Chain Technology

What we need

We are seeking a passionate Product Manager to help revolutionize the food and beverage supply chain. Product Managers are responsible for owning products throughout their lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, documenting and defining product visions, and working closely with engineering, UX/UI, project managers, sales, and marketing to deliver best-in-class solutions. They will prepare formal status reports for internal executives, and serve as an in-house expert to evaluate customer needs, the competitive landscape, competitive products, market and industry-trends, etc. in order to drive product strategy, roadmap and direction. 

A day in the life:
  • Coordinate and collaborate across the organization (engineering, UX/UI, marketing, project management, etc.) to design, develop, and launch market-leading solutions
  • Become an expert in our users’ workflows and understand their pain points
  • Understand and prioritize customer targets, value concepts/needs and importance through primary and secondary market research, including one-on-one customer interviews, focus groups, qualitative market research and web-based surveys
  • Communicate product vision, capabilities, value proposition, and roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders
  • Write clear and concise specifications for new design features; manage Scrum and Agile development stories
  • Collaborate with other product managers, software architects, developers and UX designers to document detailed use cases and translate high-level requirements into functional specifications (assist with wireframes, feature/functionality brainstorms, etc.)
  • Prioritize features while understanding the tradeoffs, and constantly evolve a well-groomed backlog
  • Work with cross-functional teams and help lead the definition and launch of early adopter programs for new product initiatives
  • Partner with marketing and sales to define the go-to-market strategy of products/solutions
  • Support sales, operations, legal, marketing, and customer support teams answering product questions, issue remediation, etc.
  • Debug and triage potential issues as they arise and act as a key driver for new dashboarding and product analytics
 
What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or other technical field (MBA or other Master’s degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of IT, product development, or project management experience preferred
  • Strong technical documentation skills (business case analysis, product/feature requirements, etc.)
  • Experience using market research or data analysis to identify broad trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present complex software solutions to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Self-starter, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational/time-management and multitasking skills, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects
  • Possesses the confidence, maturity, and finesse to build organizational consensus and lead through influence
  • Experience applying Agile or Continuous Integration methodologies preferred
  • Knowledge of design and development technologies preferred
  • Big Data experience beneficial
  • Knowledge of food service or retail industry a plus
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Must have unrestricted ability to work in the United States
