Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Job description:
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that the Yard Management product is of high quality and meets design goals for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the agile development process, anticipating test needs and advocating for quality
- Utilize test experience to devise and document test plans sufficient to verify that the software meets the requirements and design goals.
- Assist with tests based to provide future regression test coverage
- Setup test environment/bench as required to execute test plan
- Perform testing and record test results based on the documented test plans, and track and report progress and status according to the plan
- Utilize test knowledge and experience to provide input on estimations or the effort required to verify software functions
Key Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or other technical discipline is preferred
- 1-3 years Software Quality Assurance experience preferred
- Experience with RDBMS (preferably SQL)
- Experience in both Waterfall and Agile Development environments a plus
- Strong documentation skills
Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with the software development process and software testing
- Scripting ability is an asset
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong teamwork skills for cross-group cooperation
- Self-motivated and driven – able to initiate and manage activities independently
- Able to perform under pressure and respond to changing priorities
- Able to multi-task (e.g., handle multiple projects at once)
