Senior Financial Analyst, Enterprise Planning & Reporting

Role Overview 
The Enterprise Planning and Reporting team is responsible for the coordination, consolidation, reporting and analysis of EA’s overall planning and management reporting process. We play a critical role on the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team providing strategic partnership to executive leaders across EA. We achieve this through effectively engaging with our partners to understand our broad strategy, analyzing data, and delivering insights to help drive EA’s current and future performance. 
EA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for its Enterprise FP&A team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Planning & Reporting. This role is an exciting opportunity to help manage the growth of the company, with an emphasis on supporting the core financial planning cycles (Annual Operating Plans, Quarterly Forecasts, Long Range Plans, etc.), and providing business insights and financial guidance to Senior Finance leadership. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively, possess strong analytical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Financial & Strategic Business Partnership
  • Support the annual planning and quarterly forecasts processes, and provide financial insights for monthly business reviews with leadership
  • Partner with Finance leaders to manage targets and on-going risks and opportunities
  • Own the COO operating expenses budget, including quarterly forecasting, month-end close and variance analysis
  • Lead ad-hoc financial analysis and analytical modeling that support high-priority projects and investment decisions 
  • Portfolio Planning & Management
  • Partner with Development and Finance Leadership to deliver monthly title plan lock and publication, evaluating changes to timing, platform, business model, etc.
  • Support the management of the evolving long-range model, including financial scenario modeling. Evaluate long-range portfolio scenarios in relation to long-range total company P&L targets 
  • Resource Management
  • Partner with People Experience organization to provide comprehensive resource oversight for the company
  • Engage with Business FP&A and People Experience partners throughout the planning and forecasting process to understand resource demands and forecast assumptions by group – challenging assumptions, where necessary, and identifying risks and opportunities 
  • Drive FP&A Excellence
  • Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, standardize and automate forecasting and reporting tools and processes
  • Challenge status quo and provide alternative solutions 
Who You Are:

  • General interest in gaming, mobile entertainment and/or digital businesses 
Preferred Experience and Technical Skills: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; CPA a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of related financial experience
  • Proven experience in business and P&L scenario modeling
  • Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint expertise
  • Knowledge in Anaplan and Oracle preferred
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Experience with VBA and Structured Query Language (SQL) is a plus
