Contract Specialist (Contracting) (AZ, MA, MD, NC, VA)

In this role you will, completes pre-award and post award functions such as: analysis, researching, documentation preparation; contract negotiations; contract modification and contract closeout for the award and administration of contracts for acquisition programs. Monitors contractor's performance for compliance with contract terms and conditions. Analyzes complex work scopes and accompanying documents, and ascertains fund availability and the most practicable and advantageous method of meeting customer requirements. Prepares solicitation documents, including advising and assisting in non-competitive and/or source selection procedures. Developing recommended positions regarding contract terms/conditions, change requests, and areas of potential dispute. Negotiate terms and conditions based on objectives of requirement in accordance with regulations and policies. Negotiate agreements with the contractors that are subject to supervisory review and approval at various levels prior to the accomplishment of definite contracts. Utilize fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, or a combination of contract methods to include sophisticated incentive arrangements such as Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract in order to perform contracting functions. Review procurement request packages for regulatory compliance, clarity and completeness.
