Business Development Associate
Harding Loevner is seeking qualified candidates to join our Business Development Team, which handles a broad scope of relationships with financial intermediaries and institutional clients.
The Business Development Associate position will provide a candidate an opportunity to become an integrated member of the business development team. The Associate will support senior members of the team in their pursuit to drive net asset growth for the firm. The team strives to establish and deepen relationships with institutional and retirement consultants, registered investment advisors, banks, and broker-dealers.
Core responsibilities of the Associate will include:
• Building working relationships across the firm, including investment communications, content, client management, and research
• Identifying opportunities to partner with the firm’s data & automation team to improve sales and sales support processes
• Providing reports and data analysis, which will help guide team strategy and evaluate success
• Maintaining relevant records within the firm’s CRM and leading on various projects to improve organization of data within
• Skillfully communicating Harding Loevner’s investment philosophy & process and strategy performance
• Representing Harding Loevner with professionalism, integrity, and transparency with an unwavering commitment to firm values
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 0-3 years of industry experience in prior roles such as business development, client service, manager research, investment consulting, or platform management
• A desire to develop a strong understanding of global equity investing and broader industry knowledge such as investment manager selection and the asset allocation process
• Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting group initiatives
• A strong academic background; preference for progress towards or intent to pursue the CFA designation
• Series 7 and 63 (firm will sponsor if not yet licensed)
• Travel as appropriate (approximately 10% of the time)
