Product Analyst - Precision Medicine Platform

Overview

The Knowledge Systems Group at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks a Product Analyst - Precision Medicine Platform to contribute to our applied precision cancer medicine platforms. Our platforms are focused on mining of cancer genomic data sets and enabling precision medicine initiatives at DFCI. Specifically, we are looking for a product analyst to help with our open source computational clinical trials matching platform, MatchMiner.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a background in biology and a strong interest in clinical genomics.

Responsibilities

  • Curate precision medicine clinical trials by extracting and translating genomic and clinical eligibility criteria into a structured format.
  • Maintain curated trial eligibility in accordance with harmonized data standards.
  • Review and track trial enrollments resulting from usage of MatchMiner.
  • Identify and communicate clinical trial patient matches to collaborators.
  • Beta test new MatchMiner features.
  • Potential opportunity to conduct independent data research (based on experience/desire).


Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related field.
  • Experience with basic computer programming/scripting language, preferably Python.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interest in contributing to biological research with clinical applications.
  • Outstanding personal initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Interest in translational research, clinical trials, cancer genomics, bioinformatics, or scientific computing.
  • Experience with NGS genomic data.

The Knowledge Systems Group is a hybrid group, with most members working remotely, but some members working on site 2-3 days / week. For this position, we are open to remote or hybrid workers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire or Rhode Island.
