Data Engineer

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is the national trade association of the solar energy industry representing nearly 1,000 companies from around the world. The Data Engineer is responsible for data collection, processing, and reporting. The position reports to the Manager of Data Engineering within SEIA’s Research team.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to apply technical skills in programming, data storage and retrieval, and project status reporting to a fast-paced energy research and analysis shop. They will be a creative self-starter, responsible for harvesting requested data, transforming data, and programming workflow automations. In addition, the Data Engineer must be able to maintain high levels of quality assurance while managing a diverse workload interspersed with urgent requests. The preferred candidate will have a strong interest in renewable energy and policy and will also be comfortable collaborating with remote colleagues.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is available as a remote position anywhere in the United States or in SEIA’s offices in Washington, DC. Occasional travel to Washington, DC required if remote.

$58,000 - $68,000 annually, based on experience and excellent benefits package
