IT Business Analyst - Entry Level - Open to Spring & Fall 2022 Grads

POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with requirements definition, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of REG’s core business applications that help the company manage its operational, financial, and planning functions with the aim of continuously improving and streamlining business processes.  The candidate will provide production support to end users, gather business requirements, develop test plans, document test results, train users, and manage projects. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
Business Analysis
  • Interact with key stakeholders and users of the system.
  • Capture business requirements in a concise and unambiguous form.
  • Participate in the system development lifecycle management processes, including requirements definition, design, build, testing and go live.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.

Software Testing
  • Build and manage test plans.
  • Document test results.

Production Support
  • Interact with key stakeholders and users of the system.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems using both analytical and creative techniques.
  • Document available workarounds and resolutions and contribute to our knowledge base.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Supports other IT team members in their work with end users.

Project Management
  • Provide regular status updates to your manager regarding workload, project status, priorities, and outstanding issues.

Other frequent duties:
  • Build your knowledge of the end to end system solution to support cross functional solution designs.
  • Follow and enforce system controls in respect to change management and user access.

Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology
Experience Required:  0-2 years; previous internship experience preferred

Skills Required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Special skills or knowledge preferred:
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Understanding of programing languages
