The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) has implemented the requirement that all state employees attest to their vaccination status. This is a Limited Term (LT) position and may be extended up to 24 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. If becoming permanent, the selected candidate must have eligibility for a permanent appointment at the time of the LT appointment or at the time of the conversion.
The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Administration Services has an opening for an Associate Accounting Analyst in the Accounting Branch. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 18 Floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation.

Duties:
Under the general supervision of the Accounting Administrator II (Supervisor), Accounting Branch, Fund Manager, and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customers input when completing work assignments.
The incumbent establishes and maintains the accounting records for multiple federal grant projects. Performs detailed analysis and modifications of accounting processes needed to post encumbrances, expenditures, and revenues for Federal grants to ensure compliance with State and Federal financial reporting requirements. Post journal entries and prepares Financial Information Systems for California (FI$CAL) to California State Controller’s Office (SCO) reconciliations. Analyzes reconciling items and prepares correcting entries. Processes Plan of Financial Adjustments (PFA). Prepares Federal revenue draws, reconciles and remits cash. Prepares monthly status reports, cash flow analysis, and annual state legal/budgetary basis financial statements.
Overtime during peak periods, such as yearend, may be required

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
