About the Agency
The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) provides centralized leadership in efficiently and cost-effectively managing resources necessary to support the delivery of state government services. The mission of DES is to implement a world-class, customer-focused organization that provides valued products and services to government and state residents.

About the Division
The Business Resources Division (BRD) within the DES provides a number of services to state agencies, local governments, and non-profit organizations. Services provided by the division include Print and Mail Services, Fleet Operations, and Surplus Operations.
About the position
The Deputy Assistant Director acts on behalf of the Assistant Director and has lead responsibility for administrative functions, strategic & business planning, budget, finance, information technology, policy development, performance measure development & management, government relations, and provides continuous quality improvement activities for the division.
This position provides the vision and leadership to develop, administer, and control activities which supports the agency’s goals, strategic plans while ensuring that state, federal laws, and regulations are compliant. This position coordinates problem solving decisions with program managers and certifies that programs have the resources necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Other critical factors include being responsible for working at a statewide level to increase the use of alternative fuel vehicles, and to reduce the carbon footprint of government operations.

This position directly controls the division’s operating budget of $560,000 annually and is responsible for the development of program operating budgets of approximately $77,000,000 annually.
