2023 Mergers and Acquisitions Summer/Fall Analyst

Overview:
Calder Capital is looking for ambitious, motivated individuals who are seeking to join our team as a mergers and acquisitions analyst intern focusing on the Buy-Side. This is an excellent opportunity to gain relevant deal experience in the mergers and acquisitions industry. Interns will have the chance to follow deals and work with prospects and clients throughout the buy-side advisory process. We are looking for self-motivated students that can work independently and can efficiently manage their time amongst several tasks. This is a paid internship, and we expect interns to work a minimum of 20-40+ hours each week. Interns will be paired with and responsible for buy-side clients and will have a say in how many hours/clients they desire to work with. We are flexible with schedules and may be open to remote work.
 
Tasks:
Interns, under the direction of the firm’s partners and associates, will work on the following tasks:
·      Identification and research of potential buy-side targets
·      Creation of buy-side prospect marketing materials
·      Direct interaction with buy-side clients
·      Email and phone outreach to uncover potential buy-side acquisition targets
·      Financial analysis and preliminary valuation work for buy-side targets
·      Assist in information gathering during the due diligence process
·      Assist in the marketing efforts for Calder Capital
·      Miscellaneous business development projects

Requirements:
Interns must uphold the following criteria:
·      3.7+ GPA
·      Work well independently
·      Relevant internship experiences or quick learners
·      Exceptional time management and organizational skills
·      Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and grow
·      Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
·      Knowledge of basic accounting fundamentals
·      Strong communication skills
