Post Doc Research Associate - Memory Tools, Scientific Workflows, and Cloud Computing
The High-Performance Computing (HPC) Group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking post-doctoral candidates to contribute to and drive research in memory profiling and analysis tools, large-scale distributed scientific workflows, and the utilization of cloud computing resources in scientific computing contexts. With future scientific computing workloads increasingly integrating simulation of physical systems with data-driven approaches, the scientific computing ecosystem is diversifying in terms of computation patterns, systems, and platforms. In order to drive future scientific discovery, computational scientists must grapple with increasingly complex software mapped to heterogeneous and often distributed computing platforms. Fundamental research is required to gain better insight into how computing platforms are utilized by these new workloads, and to drive future system and software design.
