Supply Chain Intern (September 2022 - November 2022)
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of college experience with courses completed in Supply Chain, Economics, Accounting or Business. Candidate must thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Customer service orientation, ability to prioritize competing requests and being comfortable with extended periods of time using software applications will be required to succeed in this role.
Reports to: Demand Planning Manager
Job Responsibilities:
· Manage customer sales order flow and creation
· Effectively communicate product availability status with customers, sales team and brokers
· Collect and organize customer shipment forecast insights from sales team
· Research and problem solve Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transaction flow issues
· Identify process improvement and cost savings opportunities
· Backup resource for Demand Planning Manager
Qualifications and Competencies:
· Demonstrated customer service experience
· Experience with demand planning, production planning and inventory management tasks in consumer packaged goods or food related industry a plus
· Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application experience (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
· Well organized and detail oriented especially with numbers
· Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working within a team
· Proficient in Excel and other MS OfficeSuite applications
