Research Data Specialist II

The Indigent Defense Improvement Division (IDID) of the Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) is seeking a self-starter and analytical thinker with a commitment to supporting indigent defense services in California.


By legislative mandate, the OSPD is dedicated to providing assistance and training to public defender offices and other counsel appointed to represent indigent people accused of crimes and engaging in related efforts for the purpose of improving the quality of indigent defense across the State.
Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Indigent Defense Improvement Division, the Research Data Specialist II is responsible for a variety of assignments relating to data collection and analysis pertaining to indigent defense services, the Racial Justice Act, and related matters.
