Data & Analytics Internship - Summer 2023

Internships are onsite at our Store Support Center in Ankeny, Iowa, where you'll volunteer within our community, attend social outings, hear from our senior leadership team, and make some pizzas, of course!
As a Data & Analytics Intern, you will be partnering closely with business partners, leaders, team members, and data platform engineers to collaboratively deliver meaningful insights and analysis. This internship will provide you the opportunity to work with a variety of high-demand tools including MicroStrategy (BI tool), Azure Synapse (Data Warehouse), Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks. You will build technical skills utilizing TSQL, Python, and Spark SQL. You'll be part of all steps in the development process from requirements gathering, iterative design, coding, testing, code review, and production deployment. Opportunities include; performing descriptive & diagnostic analysis through various techniques to story-tell, present, and operationalize analytical findings and results, learning more around data analytic literacy, governance, and data-driven culture across the organization, and work on various levels in the data pipeline including data integration, reporting, and analysis. You will work with a team of professionals to collaboratively create analytical solutions to meet business objectives and desired outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Currently working on completion of Bachelor's degree in related field (STEM Field)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
