Remote Work is available with only 1-2 days per month of physical presence in the office required. When physical presence is required, employees are responsible for travel expenses to their office site. Additional Hybrid Telework and Alternative Work Week Schedules are also available.

The Information Technology Associate (ITA) is in the Software Engineering Domain. The incumbent supports the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI), Data Management Group’s (DMG) operational, analytical, and administrative processes associated with Health Care Data, enterprise information management, California Health and Human Services (CHHS) Open Data Portal, and the evaluation of program performance. 
 
The incumbent is an enterprise information management data and technical associate for assisting with complex governing, developing, managing, and delivering enterprise information to meet organizational goals while understanding and supporting customer needs.
 
The incumbent leverages Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) tools; Master Data Management (MDM) tools, database administration tools, data and information management tools; and business intelligence analysis and reporting tools. The incumbent supports lead member(s) of project teams utilizing Agile and other development methodologies. The incumbent assists in developing and validating new and established models, utilizes data quality and governance standards, fully supports the data lifecycles, and manages data linkages while identifying anomalies and problematic data patterns.

Training and Development (T&D) assignments may be considered for this position. T&D assignments are temporary assignments made for the purposes of providing career advancement opportunities to prepare permanent civil service employees for future promotions into new occupational fields.

Do you have the following education or experience?

Eighteen months as an Information Technology Technician; or
 
Two years of general information technology experience performing technical, analytical, or support tasks for computer systems or services in any of the six domains or emerging information technology fields; or
 
60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) from an accredited college or university including at least 15 semester units (or 22.5 quarter units) of information technology or closely related course work; or
 
Any equivalent combination of experience and education.
