Under supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) in the Office of Budget & Revenue Management (Budget Office), the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) performs analytical assignments related to the coordination, development, review, and administration of the budget for the Department of Industrial Relations. The SSA provides technical direction and consultative service to one or more programs, including the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of their budgets.

The incumbent works 40 hours per week in a cubicle in an office setting that is air-conditioned on the third floor of an office building with elevator access and natural and artificial lighting. Typical work requires prolonged sitting using computer, calculator, and telephone, as well as interaction with co-workers. Hybrid telework is available as approved by the Department.

This position is eligible for remote-centered hybrid telework up to three days per week; the other two days per week are in the Sacramento (Natomas) office for hands-on training and team meetings. The office is close to both I-5 and I-80, offers free parking, and is close to restaurants and shopping.
