Asset Management Analyst

ASSET MANAGEMENT ANALYST:
Merit Hill Capital, LP, a private real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, management and disposition of self-storage assets in the United States and is currently looking for an asset management analyst in their Brooklyn, NY office. The analyst will work closely with senior leadership on all facets of the Company’s self-storage investment business. This position offers potential candidates an opportunity to work at a Buy-Side firm that provides unparalleled experience and exposure from day one. The position offers an applicant the unique opportunity to be directly involved in evaluating and making principal investment decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Underwrite, evaluate, and compile asset management committee memorandum for potential conversion and expansion opportunities throughout the existing portfolio
• Actively participate in the execution of expansions and capital projects through completion
• Day-to-day portfolio management and communication with third-party managers
• Spread and review monthly property financials
• Prepare monthly performance files comparing performance to investment expectations and evaluate potential upside opportunities
• Assist in annual budget process, including spreading budgets, analyzing growth trajectory, and annual meetings
• Work collaboratively with team members in various ad hoc tasks and analyses as needed

CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Previous summer internship(s) demonstrating relevant real estate finance, investments or asset management
• Intellectually curious
• Detail-oriented
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; demonstrated skill with financial models using Excel
• Excellent people, written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starting personality who works well with limited direction, tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Enjoys an entrepreneurial culture that places a premium on performance
• Team player
• Unquestioned integrity
• Undergraduate degree required
• Willingness to travel
