EHS&S Specialist
RES is looking for an EHS&S Specialist to support our operations in the West region, throughout Southern California.
The mission: RES is growing, and to support this growth and success, we are looking to expand our Safety team in California. This new position will report directly to the Safety Director.
What your day-to-day might look like?
60% of your time will be spent visiting job sites in Southern California to support field teams and compliance for all environmental health, safety & security program areas. You will provide best practices and safety guidance to the field crews and ensure that employees are following proper safety protocols.
You will routinely document incidents, conduct accident investigations and facilitate workers comp cases as necessary.
You will also work in conjunction with Fleet operations to ensure compliance of fleet is maintained. Please note that you should be able to climb into large equipment to perform inspections.
Approximately 40% office based, where you will be focused on employee training (creation, coordination and conducting), project kickoffs, and vendor compliance (Avetta, ISNetworld and others).
Qualifications
We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:
- 2 or more years of experience within a Safety department
- Knowledge of CAL OSHA rules and regulations
- Experience in construction related environment with knowledge of heavy equipment
Desired:
- BS/BA
- CSP, CHST, ASP or COSS certification is preferred with OSHA 30 for construction
