Junior Analyst / Information Technology Professional

Position Summary

The Client Experience, Field Services Team provides front-line operational coordination that includes workstation setup, support, management, and decommissioning. The Junior Analyst role reports to the MSU IT Zone Manager and is on a team that triages incoming customer requests, and handles customer escalations which may include working with university stakeholders to configure and distribute assets to meet business objectives, such as tagging, managing, and decommissioning assets.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years of college, technical, vocational or business school such as an Associates Degree in computer technology or information systems, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed OR a Bachelors Degree in computer technology or information systems, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Desired Qualifications

Experience with imaging, asset management, and backup software: working with vendors; managing workstations in a complex environment (both Windows and iOS); exceptional customer service values and skills, including ability to successfully resolve conflict constructively and to maintain positive relationship with customer groups; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines; curiosity in new & emerging technologies.
