About the Role:
The Reconciliation Operations Team is looking for an intern to join us in the summer of 2023 as we continue to grow our reconciliation operations group here at Remitly. You will support and work on data completeness and accuracy for our Reconciliation Operations team in Manila and the United States. Furthermore, the role will be aligned and work with our Reconciliation Insights & Analytics team to identify opportunities for improvement, identify root-causes to systemic data quality issues, and provide recommendations on reporting and data presentment.
You will be remote (full distributed) #LI-Remote or the US - Seattle office if applicable.
You Will:
Lead reconciliation operational improvements and create and integrate new business processes within the team
Develop operational metrics and performance indicators to guide decision-making in Reconciliation Operations (including dashboard creation)
Analyze and explain variances for reconciliation use cases through root cause analysis and exceptions review
Partner with our Recon Insights & Analytics team to develop solutions to business problems and data quality issues
You Have:
Bachelors or Masters Degree concentrated in Business, Operations, Accounting, or Finance
An expected graduation of December 2023 or May 2024
Competency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPS, INDEXMATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, Pivot Tables, and Power Pivot
Experience analyzing large datasets using SQL
Comfort in using data in decision-making and speaking with internal partners
