Assistant Tech Director

Camp Micah Technical Director

Direct Supervisor: Performing Arts Team Leader 


The Tech Director is a member of the Performing Arts team who is responsible for:
·  Oversee proper use and storage of all technical equipment at camp
·  Maintain upkeep of Uncle Milt’s Performing Arts Center
·  Coordination of lights and sound for all activities and performances that occur in the theatre (plays, talent show, dances, rainy day activities etc.)
·  Plan, supervise, and teach tech activity periods for campers to prepare for camp musical/play
·  Work in concert with drama staff, play director, and team leader to design and build set for both plays
·  Coordination of all technical equipment for our song leaders during Shabbat services and in the dining hall for song sessions
·  Provide technological assistance to Director and Team Leader in other parts of camp when necessary 

General responsibilities 
·  Ensure the safety and security of campers, staff and facility at all times (risk assessment)
·  Lives in a cabin with 8-9 campers
·  Be an appropriate role model for other staff and campers. Lead by example.
·  Inform director of any camper and staff problems
·  Pitch in where needed
