Communication Specialist
The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking a
Communication Specialist, College of Business Administration
The communication assistant reports to the CBA Senior Director of Communication and Marketing, and serves as a writer/storyteller to meet the communications and editorial needs of the College of Business Administration (CBA). Duties include, but are not limited to, news-writing, feature writing, faculty and student highlights, newsletter content development, prepared remarks for the deans, website content development and update, social media post writing, and copy editing. This position also provides support to CBA faculty members with editing and formatting for journal publications.
Work Schedule: Generally, 8-5, Monday – Friday, with occasional after-hours events
Salary Information: $52,000 - $53,560/year
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, or closely related field.
· Minimum of two years related professional experience in a field or fields that involve written communications, including copywriting, journalism, communications, and marketing.
