Manifold Advisory Director (Healthcare)

Manifold Directors are responsible for leading client engagements, developing staff, and building relationships while contributing to Manifold’s healthcare growth through business development activities. 
Applicants should be comfortable with ambiguity, very high levels of complexity, and requirements for rapid adaptation. Frequent feedback and support will be available, but this role will require significant autonomy.

About you:
  • You have experience with managing people (2+ managers at a time) and appreciate all of the responsibilities that come with managing a team.
  • You are resourceful and self-reliant in determining the best approach to complete projects. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and developing slides, financial models, etc. 
  • You have prior work experience and a proven track record of structuring/managing projects in a healthcare setting and a professional services firm.
  • You have an advanced degree, preferably an MBA or a Master’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent work experience may also be considered. Clinical experience or certifications are a plus.
  • You enjoy business development & are excited to sell. You are a power networker - you have an established network and are comfortable leveraging these relationships to help Manifold build and grow its book of business.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to bring together stakeholders and persuade clients to take action.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace the idea that change is constant and are comfortable with managing several projects at once.
  • You’re a master problem solver, have strong narrative writing skills and are a natural at connecting with senior leadership both internally and externally. 
  • You’ve got some clinical skills to help drive projects forward - you speak the language of our Subject Matter Experts and respect their knowledge within their areas of expertise in effort to understand a project's inherent risks & potential roadblocks. 
  • You’ve got a good idea of what career path you want to take within our healthcare advisory practice & are excited to validate that idea by working in different industries and focus areas.

What you’ll do as a Manifold Director:
  • Lead and steer healthcare project delivery
  • Manage client relationships and expectations throughout projects by regularly communicating project status, findings, and opportunities while ensuring your team delivers high quality outputs.
  • Connecting the project outcomes to business objectives and measuring impact
  • Manage communication and reviews with Manifold Leadership.
  • Monitor progress, identify and address delivery risks with SMEs, Associates, Senior Associates and Managers.
  • Be a thought partner to the engagement team on both Manifold and client sides.
  • Maintain an entrepreneurial mindset by identifying new opportunities to help clients make continuous improvements to their business and understand the priorities of their goals. 
  • Play a key role in Manifold’s business development.
  • Develop relationships with new Manifold healthcare clients.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing Manifold clients through identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and grow the business.
  • Design and scope the projects we sell to our clients based on client needs and budgets as well as Manifold’s capabilities and team capacity.
  • Take part in recruiting, learning, and development of Healthcare SMEs, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, and Interns.
  • Conduct performance reviews, and provide regular feedback to staff.
  • Mentor junior team members to ensure they are motivated, engaged, and challenged.
  • Prepare and facilitate training sessions, and onboard new staff members.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Manifold Management Team. Communicate changes to projects, team transitions and other shifting parts of the business in a timely manner.
