RyeStrategy is looking for a part-time blog contributor to keep our blog running with engaging, original, and insightful environmentally-minded content. In this role, you will be responsible for researching topics and developing written content that will appeal to our target audiences. If you’re a skilled writer that is passionate about the environment and has a penchant for writing about the subject, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for blog posts
- Writing, editing, executing, and promoting blog posts
- Incorporating topics that will engage target audience and boost SEO
- Staying current on industry trends to create engaging content
- Advocating and educating others about sustainability topics and issues
- Monitoring responses to posts via Medium
Requirements
- Majoring in English, Communications, or Environmental Studies
- Exceptional writing, research, editing, and communication skills
- Writing experience and strong familiarity with environmental subjects
- Able to commit to one blog post a week (~500 words), and provide additional help with ad hoc content projects
- Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Medium
