Art (Interactive) Summer 2023 Student Associate Program

JOB TITLE: Art Student Associate – MSG Ventures
DEPARTMENT: Ventures Interactive
SUPERVISOR: Art Director – Interactive
 
 
ROLE SUMMARY:
As Art Student Associate, you will assist in creating art for various projects undertaken by the Interactive Concept Group, principally focusing on creating and modifying UI/UX (Logos, buttons, mockups, etc.) for MSG Ventures’ Mass Interactive Concept Group software, always maintaining continuity with the brand guidelines and the team’s creative vision. This role is for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual eager to work within an Agile software development framework to assure timely review of all assets, implement revisions, and to deliver completed assets to the Technical Artist and/or engineering team in production-ready formats.
 
RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Create or edit logos and UX/UI assets
  • Help implement graphic interface elements in game engines
  • Modify and optimize existing assets for implementation both quick-and-dirty tests and polished production work
  • Assure that all completed assets for both test and polished software releases are consistent with the team’s creative vision as well as the overall brand guidelines
  • Attend and report in daily scrums and bi-weekly sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives in accordance with Agile best practices
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
·        Solid understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator or similar software
·        Solid knowledge of Typography, Graphic Design, UI/UX, and Color Theory
·        Excellent communications and team relations skills
·        High level of professionalism
Preferred:
·        Experience with Maya or Unity
·        Experience working in an Agile team or familiarity with Agile methodology
·        2D or 3D animation skills
 
STUDENT ASSOCIATE REQUIREMENTS:
·        Undergraduate candidates with a class status of junior or above or graduate candidates
·        GPA of 3.2 or above
·        Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment
·        Available to work a minimum 21-hour work week and a maximum 35-hour work week (35 hours required for the summer semester)
