What are we seeking?
We are seeking Indirect Procurement Co-ops to support the Indirect Sourcing initiatives. These positions start in January and May each year. Co-op positions provide the potential for permanent full-time positions after graduation located at many Brunswick, Mercury and other division locations.

Where are these positions located?
  • Brunswick Corporation Global Headquarters in Mettawa, IL
  • Mercury Marine Global Headquarters in Fond du Lac, WI

What is the timing and duration of the Co-op commitment?
The Co-op positions are full-time commitments of 40 hours/week. There are two term option:
  • January – August
  • May – December

Position Summary:
  • Analyze monthly spend and savings data across the Brunswick enterprise against historical, year-over-year and current data points
  • Prepare and present monthly executive team PowerPoint covering status against goals and Indirect Sourcing project highlights
  • Independently review and create purchase orders from requisitions utilizing the Oracle ERP system and create new tool crib items or blanket PO’s as appropriate
  • Support Category Managers and Buyers analytical request utilizing Power BI and Excel tools
  • Evaluate supplier performance through auditing, sourcing reviews and corrective plan development
  • Mitigate risk through proactive analysis of procurement processes and systems
  • Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma initiatives independently and/or in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes, programs and supplier performance
  • Present a final report to various Supply Chain and HR professionals summarizing key learnings, acquired skills and successes

In addition to a great hands-on learning experience, you will also acquire the skills needed to:
  • Gain confidence in your skills and enhance your resume with tangible Supply Chain accomplishments and abilities
  • Influence people, suppliers and project outcomes
  • Liaison to all areas of the organization while you drive execution within the supply base
  • Network with a variety of levels of the organization

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 80 credit hours towards a Supply Chain (preferred) or Finance major with at least one semester of data analytics
  • Data Analytics minor preferred
  • Technology experience: basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient analyzing data or the ability to use internet resources to identify complex Excel functions
  • Basic virtual technology skills such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Power BI (or a comparable reporting system)
  • The ability to prioritize numerous projects in a professional and ethical manner
  • Effective interpersonal skills
