FLSA: Exempt
Hiring Range: $50,000.00 - $130,000.00/yr. (The anticipated starting salary pay range of $50,000.00 - $130,000.00/yr. is based on minimum requirements for this position. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for a Design Engineer who will plan, develop, coordinate, review, and assess the design of projects.
 
This position is required to be in the field and travel at least 10% of the time.
 
Primary responsibilities and essential functions:
  • Performs remedial investigations and feasibility studies to determine and outline projects.
  • Under limited supervision, plans, develops, coordinates, reviews and assesses the design of projects, including concepts, format of calculations, selection of equipment standards, system design, and preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Prepares drawings, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
  • Prepares and inspects construction plans.
  • Preparation of construction plans and specifications to construct earthwork grading, erosion control features, utility lines, and other civil construction projects.
  • Provides engineering field support for ongoing construction activities.
  • Assists in providing assessments of work scope, potential safety problems and special design considerations.
  • Assists in providing technical assessments, conducting trade-off studies, and providing direction on the basis of costs, schedule, and performance.
  • Participates in internal reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:
  • Basic Civil engineering concepts involving site grading, earthwork, and hydrology.
  • Ability to work with broad objectives with latitude to determine the best way to accomplish tasks.
  • Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:
  • AutoCAD with Civil 3D capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Valid driver’s license.
Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:
  • Experience in construction interface.
  • E.I.T (Engineer in Training) certification preferred.
  • Experience working in an engineering design environment with a team of other engineers and other technical disciplines to prepare engineering analysis, plans, and specifications preferred.
Required Education and Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or similar engineering discipline.
 
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
