Hiring Range: $50,000.00 - $130,000.00/yr. (The anticipated starting salary pay range of $50,000.00 - $130,000.00/yr. is based on minimum requirements for this position. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for a Design Engineer who will plan, develop, coordinate, review, and assess the design of projects.
This position is required to be in the field and travel at least 10% of the time.
Primary responsibilities and essential functions:
- Performs remedial investigations and feasibility studies to determine and outline projects.
- Under limited supervision, plans, develops, coordinates, reviews and assesses the design of projects, including concepts, format of calculations, selection of equipment standards, system design, and preparation of plans and specifications.
- Prepares drawings, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
- Prepares and inspects construction plans.
- Preparation of construction plans and specifications to construct earthwork grading, erosion control features, utility lines, and other civil construction projects.
- Provides engineering field support for ongoing construction activities.
- Assists in providing assessments of work scope, potential safety problems and special design considerations.
- Assists in providing technical assessments, conducting trade-off studies, and providing direction on the basis of costs, schedule, and performance.
- Participates in internal reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:
- Basic Civil engineering concepts involving site grading, earthwork, and hydrology.
- Ability to work with broad objectives with latitude to determine the best way to accomplish tasks.
- Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:
- AutoCAD with Civil 3D capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Valid driver’s license.
Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:
- Experience in construction interface.
- E.I.T (Engineer in Training) certification preferred.
- Experience working in an engineering design environment with a team of other engineers and other technical disciplines to prepare engineering analysis, plans, and specifications preferred.
Required Education and Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or similar engineering discipline.
