Engineering Geologist (JC 357220)

The State Water Resources Control Board’s Los Angeles Region has an opening for an Engineering Geologist in the Site Cleanup Unit III of the Remediation Section II. The position location is 320 W. 4th Street, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90013, right in the heart of downtown near multiple lines of public transportation, great restaurants and more.

Duties:

The incumbent will perform engineering assignments with the Site Cleanup Unit III. The Site Cleanup Program primarily involves regulatory oversight of sites under the Cost Recovery Program. The Site Cleanup Program deals with site investigation and corrective action for sites, which includes brownfields, Department of Defense projects, refineries, bulk fuel terminals, large industrial facilities, and smaller facilities such as dry cleaners and plating shops.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
