Valero Alamo Bowl Communications Internship

Communications Internship
The Valero Alamo Bowl is accepting applications for a full-time, seasonal intern to serve as our Communications/Public Relations Coordinator from August 1, 2023 – January 12, 2024.
Responsibilities
Given our small staff size, this position will serve as Bowl’s key media services contact and be responsible for:
·        Producing content for the Bowl’s website, social media accounts, and newsletter
·        Managing community relations programs to include annual scholarship awards, teacher recognition, and military programs
·        Designing, writing, and producing the bowl’s media guide, program, and fan guide
·        Overseeing the online credentialing as well as press operations during Bowl Week
These wide-ranging duties have allowed successful persons in this position to secure full-time communications roles with MLB, NASCAR, LPGA, and college SID offices.

·        Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
·        Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

·        Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills

·        Stipend: $12 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours worked per week
·        Length of Appointment: August 1, 2023 - January 13, 2024
·        Time Requirement: 40 hours per week with extended hours November – December.
·        Candidate must be available to work full-time including evenings, weekends and holidays as requested. Candidates are required to be able to lift 30 pounds as well as have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
