About the Editorial Intern Role:

Sands Capital is seeking a motivated Editorial Intern to support our Portfolio Analysis and Communications Team (Client Relations). As an Editorial Intern, you will have the opportunity to help research and create various types of content about our investments, culture, and stewardship efforts for our website and other media platforms.

Our internship program serves to identify motivated and talented undergraduates who will gain relevant skills and knowledge through the internship.

This role is expected to work from our Arlington, VA office on a hybrid schedule at a minimum of two days per week in office or as directed, depending on team needs. Please know that the hybrid schedule is subject to change, as directed by our Executive Management Team, at any time.

Position Responsibilities:

Coordinate research activities with the Sr. Manager, Editorial:

  • Writing briefs on company events and conferences;
  • Reporting, writing, and producing at least one piece of thought leadership;
  • Participating in Portfolio Analysis and Communications Team (PACT) meetings and other meetings, as necessary;
  • Performing other administrative or professional responsibilities, as needed; and
  • Exhibiting behaviors consistent with Sands Capital’s Mission, Values, and culture.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate students interested in exploring a career in investment communications;
  • A genuine and demonstrable interest in financial writing and investment research;
  • Familiarity with financial markets, investing, journalistic story-telling techniques;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Exceptional work ethic and ability to complete assignments on time with limited supervision.
