Historical Landscape Architecture Intern

The National Park Service's Park Cultural Landscapes Program serves to develop, implement, and oversee a nationwide program of cultural landscape documentation and preservation in national park units.
The successful candidate will assist the National Park Service’s Park Cultural Landscapes Program (PCLP) with preparing scopes of work, specifications, and job aids for cultural landscape preservation and restoration work. This is a 16-week position if full time, or can be part-time. Located either in Seattle, WA or remote.
The intern will improve documentation related to landscape work for construction contracts and landscape professionals, and assist a Historical Landscape Architect in creating technical scopes of work, contract specifications, and training documents. Duties involve writing technical documents; researching background information; and identifying the maintenance tasks required for historic landscape features, including vegetation. The project may involve field work but is primarily an office effort. Training will be provided.
