Kittelson & Associates is offering a paid internship for Summer 2023 to produce videos for social media and contribute to other aspects of our digital communications presence.
YOU ARE: a student with experience in short-form video production, a desire to broaden your understanding of digital communications, and an interest in exploring how your skill set could fit within the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry.
WE ARE: a transportation engineering and planning firm on a mission to transform the way communities move through developing thoughtful, equitable, and innovative transportation solutions.
Position Summary
We are looking for an intern to join Kittelson’s communications team for Summer 2023. Our communications team manages the firm’s website, social media, email marketing, and media relations. As intern on our team, you will:
- Produce weekly videos for TikTok and Instagram
- Ideate and produce communications pieces that spread the word about Kittelson internships
- Contribute to team brainstorms
- Support other communications projects as time allows, including project write-ups for the website, newsletter production, and competitor analysis
Qualifications
- Experience producing videos for social media (particularly TikTok and Instagram) for a business or organization
- Experience or interest in contributing to social media strategy and content development
- Strong written communication skills
- High level of organization and commitment to deadlines
- High level of ownership and attention to detail—you take pride in publishing content that is error-free and the best it can be!
Compensation
Compensation for this position is $20 – $25 per hour (position in this range determined by your year in school).
Kittelson’s Internship Program
Every summer, Kittelson brings on current students in an immersive internship program that builds upon their coursework and past experiences. Each intern is paired with a mentor who helps them learn about the transportation profession, while having opportunities to interact with other interns and build relationships with Kittelson staff. While the firmwide program is geared toward engineers and planners, the communications internship will still include participation in most aspects of it, including the intern summit in July, along with equivalent opportunities to connect with the firm.
