Spend the summer living and working in Washington State’s beautiful Wenatchee National Forest. Camp Zanika Lache a traditional co-ed residential summer camp, located on the shores of Lake Wenatchee, is looking for Lifeguards. At Camp Zanika we provided an amazing week long experience for children ages 5-17. Our diverse staff of 40 college aged individuals, from all over the world, come together to make a positive difference in the lives of the campers we serve, creating memories that last a lifetime. Camp Zanika provides competitive salary (varies with position), room and board, staff shirts, and a truly amazing life experience with memories and friends that will last a life time.

Pay is $2,500-$4,500 for the summer, this includes meals and housing

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 Training and experience in waterfront activities

 Current Lifeguard Training or equivalent Certification - can help acquire

 Current CPR and First Aid Certifications

 Desire and ability to work with children outdoors

 Ability to accept guidance and supervision

 Good character, integrity, and adaptability

 Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control

 College student of at least 19 years of age

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in testing and classifying swimming abilities of camp staff and campers.

2. During pre-camp training, work with waterfront director to set up waterfront.

3. Conduct daily check of equipment in area for safety, cleanliness and condition.

4. Teach and monitor proper use of equipment.

5. Participate in weekly scheduling meeting.

6. Guard waterfront activities as assigned by waterfront director.

7. Participate in all "All Camp" activities.

8. Fill in for counselor time off.

9. Assist in packing all materials and supplies at end of season.

10. Other duties as assigned / reassigned.
