Laborer / Field Crew - Warrenton
RES is looking for a Laborer / Field Crew based out of our Warrenton, VA office.
The primary function of the Laborer is to complete ecological restoration work in the field. This implies standing, walking, and occasionally moving and lifting to 50 lbs. Please note that we work outside come rain or come shine, and sometimes be exposed to elements, wild animals, and poisonous plants!

We are looking for professionals with a strong sense of dedication to project flow and completion. This individual will also need to have a team player mentality, as you will be maintaining a positive working relationship with co-workers.
What your day-to-day might look like?
In the field, you will be doing the following:
- Site preparation: Bushogging, clearing trees and brush, chipping debris
- Erosion control/Site stabilization: Silt fence installation, deckmat installation for access, seed application, straw mulching, erosion control matting
- Natural area maintenance by watering, de-weeding, mowing, minor sediment removal by hand
- Work with equipment – operate tractors, UTVs, chainsaws, chippers, brush mowers, chop saws, drills and water/trash pumps; perform routine inspections of your equipment to make sure it is properly maintained, with service-related concerns reported promptly to the supervisor
Qualifications
We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:
- High School degree or equivalent
- Experience or interest in construction and/or landscape work
What will make you stand out:
- Understanding of basic ecological restoration techniques.
- Experience with understanding engineered blueprint drawings and specifications
- Experience in natural resource or water resource infrastructure
