Stormwater Construction Supervisor

RES is currently seeking a Stormwater Construction Supervisor. This position will be based out of the Warrenton, VA office.
 
The Construction Supervisor will assist in the delivery of the on-site construction of varying types of stream restoration and wetland mitigation projects as well as stormwater compliance facilities, including but not limited to wet and dry detention basins, bio-retention facilities, sand filters, infiltration, bio-swales, etc.

What your day-to-day might look like?

Your day-to-day might involve operating a range of heavy equipment, such as all-terrain utility vehicles, excavators, dozers, earth-hauling trucks, and skid loaders. You will need to have the skill to grade required elevations with precision, typically within .1 of a foot. To ensure quality control, you will also use Trimble equipment to check grades and perform QAQC tasks.
As part of your role, you must be able to read and interpret construction plan sets accurately and implement them effectively.
You will be responsible for looking after assets, individuals, and properties, so a high level of responsibility and attention to detail is required.
You should have an understanding of DEP E&S controls and how to properly implement them. Daily communication with construction superintendents on project progression is essential, and you will be expected to delegate daily and weekly tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for ordering supplies and materials to ensure smooth project progression

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of field experience in construction or other project-based business
  • Valid driver’s license
