Financial Analyst

Cramer Fish Sciences (CFS) is actively seeking a full-time Financial Analyst to provide essential support in coordination with the Controller. The position will lead the month end close, fixed assets administration, AR and AP oversight, client projects administration including project budgets, general ledger, and support project managers and staff across the organization. This position is responsible for the creation of the company's monthly financial statements and related reports and help administrator the company's ERP system (Salesforce/PSA/FF). Experience with government contracting a plus.

EDUCATION & SKILLS
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting plus experience working with financial statements and general ledger. Degrees in finance or business will be considered with the appropriate level of experience with GAAP accounting, financial statements, and general ledger.
  • Advanced proficiency in development and use of Excel spreadsheets including Excel formula and functions for data ,management, manipulation, pivoting and lookup, formatting, and presentations required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ensures compliance with GAAP standards for all transactions.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures for revenue and expenses and follows best practices for accounting controls.
  • Assists with the oversight of day-to-day transactions for accounts receivable and payable.
  • Performs month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and all other tasks required for accurate monthly financials with support from the Controller.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of general ledger entries and balances.
  • Maintains financial subledgers and supporting schedules.
  • Oversees cash management, transactions and day-to-day entries, tracks bank and credit card balances, and ensures adequate cash availability in coordination with the Controller.
  • Serves as support for project managers on proposals, budgets, and projects.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Enters and verifies budget data in PSA/FF.
  • Assists with the deliverables for annual financial Review/Audit with outside CPA firm in coordination with the Controller.
  • Manages the company's fixed assets transactions, records, and depreciation schedules.
  • Manages all property tax, sales and use tax, B&O tax, business licenses, and any other taxes/licenses for all locations.
  • Manages GSA modifications, quarterly reporting requirements and maintains Federal Supply Schedule.
  • Maintains required reports/updates for GSA, Federal Grants (through IPP, ASAP, GrantSolutions, SAM).

COMPENSATION: $65,000 - $85,000/Year (depending upon experience). 401 (k) has a 3% match and full vesting after one year. The annual cash bonus has a 3% target. Benefit package includes: medical, dental, vision, basic life, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, PTO, paid company holidays, and other various voluntary benefits.

ESOP: CFS is a 100% employee-owned company. Our employee stock option plan (ESOP) is a qualified defined contribution plan. Our target ESOP contribution is 5%. Eligibility is after one year of service with an entry date of Jan 1 or July 1.
