Fund Drive Coordinator Position Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Maker Radio 94.5 fm KWQA is seeking a Fund Drive Coordinator to work under the Fundraising Director and assist in planning and executing over the air and call-in fundraising events twice a year. We are a Low Power FM (LPFM) radio station based in Chico, CA, committed to serving our community through engaging, informative, and entertaining programming.

Reports To: Fundraising Director
Supervises: Volunteers and interns

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, or a related field is a plus, but all applicants will be considered.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or event planning, preferably in a radio or media organization a plus, but all applicants will be considered. 
Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute over the air and call-in fundraising events twice a year, including coordinating with volunteers, scheduling hosts and guests, and managing logistics.
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising Director to develop and implement fundraising campaigns, ensuring that they align with the station's goals and objectives.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners to secure donations and sponsorships.
  • Work with the station's programming, promotional and marketing teams to create fundraising materials, messaging, and promotional content.
  • Manage the station's donor and sponsor databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Track and report fundraising progress to the Fundraising Director and the station's leadership team.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors and sponsors, answering questions and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Help plan and execute donor appreciation events and recognition programs.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, & Other Characteristics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising messages and engage donors and sponsors.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate and execute multiple campaigns and events simultaneously.
  • Ability to select and institute an appropriate donor management software.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial management and budgeting.
  • Passion for public radio and a commitment to the mission and values of Maker Radio 94.5 fm KWQA.
